T.J. Jones is home to one of the campus's computer labs.
Here, NCU students, staff, and faculty have the option to print documents through Mobile Print, or directly from a Lab computer. NCU patrons can also scan and email documents for later use using the printer/copier.
Mobile Print
Step 1.) Be sure that the document you would like to print is saved as a Microsoft Office document or a PDF.
Step 2.) Attach the doc or PDF file in an email and send to mobileprint@northcentral.edu
Step 3.) Scan your NCU ID at the printer to log in.
Step 4.) Select the "Secure Print" option on the printer's screen to access your print queue.
Step 5.) Select the item or items that you would like to print and select the "Print + Delete" option to print the document and remove it from your queue, OR select "Print + Keep" to print the document and keep it in your queue for later.
Mobile Print Troubleshooting
If you're having difficulty printing double check that you have mobileprint@nortcentral.edu spelled correctly, and that you have not included the word "mail" in the email address. Be sure that the document is in fact either a PDF or a document compatible with Microsoft Office. A google doc will not work. Additionally, double check the formatting and size of your prints are compatible with 8.5"x11" paper.
Local Print
Step 1.) Email a copy of the document to your student email.
Step 2.) Log in to one of our Lab computers (Do not use the standing desk Kiosk)
Step 3.) Open your student email on the Lab computer.
Step 4.) Select "Print". If it is an attached document you can use the "Quick Print" option, otherwise you may have to download the document onto the Lab computer.
Step 5.) Select the "FollowMe" printer.
Step 6.) Sign in to the printer with your student ID. If it is your first time doing this you will need to enter your student email and password for your NCU account.
Step 7.) Select the "Secure Print" option on the printer's screen to access your print queue.
Step 8.) Select the item or items that you would like to print and select the "Print + Delete" option to print the document and remove it from your queue, OR select "Print + Keep" to print the document and keep it in your queue for later.
Local Print Troubleshooting
If you are having difficulty printing from a Lab computer, be sure you are signed in to your personal student account on that computer. Additionally, double check the formatting and size of your prints are compatible with 8.5"x11" paper.
