How to Place a Hold

Patrons may place a hold on any item that is part of the Main Collection. To place a hold on an item, complete the following steps:

 

1) Search the catalog to locate the item you would like to request, and click on the title of the book. 

 

2) Click the "Request a Hold" button

 

3) Log in using your JonesSearch account information. This will be your NCU ID number (you MUST include the zero at the beginning followed by your six-digit ID number) and your password. Note: If you have not set up an account, click "Set/Reset Password" and follow the steps to set up your JonesSearch account. 

 

4) Select "T.J. Jones Library" as your pickup location, note any additional preferences or requests, and click "Submit."

 

5) You will receive an email (like the one pictured below) notifying you when the item is ready to be picked up at the main floor Help Desk. Holds will expire after four business days, so be sure to stop by as soon as possible.
