Organizations and Institutes
APA - American Psychological Association "The American Psychological Association is the largest scientific and professional organization representing psychology in the United States. APA is the world's largest association of psychologists, with more than 137,000 researchers, educators, clinicians, consultants and students as its members." (From the APA website)
APS - Association for Psychological Science The Association for Psychological Science (previously the American Psychological Society) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of scientific psychology and its representation at the national and international level. CAPS - Christian Association for Psychological Studies CAPS is an organization of Christians who work in the mental health/behavioral science fields. It also publishes the Journal of Psychology and Christianity.
Society for Christian Psychology A division of the American Association of Christian Counselors, their stated mission is "to promote the development of a distinctly Christian psychology (including theory, research, and practice) that is based on a Christian understanding of human nature." NIMH - National Institute of Mental Health A division of the U.S. government's National Institutes of Health. Their site has a great deal of information and research relating to all areas of mental health.
